DAEJA RICHARDSON

Daeja Richardson is 16 years old and a rising junior at Science Leadership Academy at the Center City campus. This was her first year as an intern at Uptown Entertainment Development Corporation (UEDC). Before this Daeja was an intern at Phildanco, a dance company in which she still attends. Within the next few years Daeja will be probably be going into her third year of college majoring in business. Being an entrepreneur has always been something that Daeja has wanted to do. For example, she invests into clothing, accessories, hair, and much more.

LYONEL "TRE" LAGRONE

My name is Lyonel, however mostly everybody that I know calls me “Tre”.  I live in Burlington, New Jersey with my mom, brother, and step-dad. I attend Burlington City High School ( or BCHS for short) along with my brother. I’ve been involved with the Uptown for as long as I can remember, alongside with my mom and my brother.

Some fun facts about me...My favorite color is green and its been that way for my whole life. Also my lucky number is seven, because everywhere that I seem to turn there is a seven somewhere. Lyonel means “little lion” according to our internship instructor Bro. Yumy. My nickname “Tre” is apparently a mix of the spanish and french pronunciations of the number three, so since I am the third Lyonel in my family everyone calls me Tre. My favorite subject is S.T.E.M. lab. When I graduate high school, I want to go to college.

JOEL FISHER

My name is Joel Fisher, and I am a 17-year-old assistant at the Uptown Radio Station, WJYN 98.5FM. I attend Community College of Philadelphia under the Gateway to College program. I was born in Philadelphia, PA. I have 4 elder sisters and two elder brothers, so I am the youngest of seven children. As a college student, I find most of my time spent on studying the French language. I have always been interested in French and Ivorian culture, so the pursuit of studying their language came naturally.

As an assistant, I spent most of my time working with files, editing, getting financial quotes, and other things of that nature. However, when I leave work, I invest most of my spare time practicing the violin and cello, writing creative prose fiction and building a brand on social media. From photography to cinematography, I dedicate my time to several different forms of art. Many of my hobbies I keep to myself, while other hobbies I plan on turning it into a part of my career. As an intermediate violinist, I have played in countless weddings, birthday parties, and concerts all over the tri-state area, and New York City.
